WELCOME
Hey everyone, and welcome to Eat, Sleep, and Blink the new and improved Blink 182 official fanlisting, as approved by the fanlistings. Here what you can do is join and get to know other blink fans if you wish, or just browse the pictures or check out the news. Just so you know Im in no way affilated with Blink 182, this is merely just a fansite/listing to support the band.
I have been a fan of blink for about 8 years now, and this fanlisting has been up and running since May 2001. So yay! One of the oldest fanlistings on this network =) Sadly, Blink 182 have broken up since 2005. However I will continue to approve members and hopefully one day get around to revamping the content. Thanks for stopping by :) .
The name for this site came from a quote Mark said. "Dont forget to Eat, Sleep, and Blink!"

Blink to reunite at the Grammy Awards! Are they making a new album?
Angels & Airwaves guitarist David Kennedy says 'Blink is coming back' in online chat.
On Thursday, Blink-182 fans rejoiced when it was announced that the long-dormant band would be reuniting as presenters at Sunday's Grammy Awards. While it's not clear if Blink will be doing anything more than presenting an award, it does appear that there may be more to come from the band.
At least that's what a member of a Blink offshoot band — Tom DeLonge's Angels & Airwaves — seems to have confirmed in a chat on the social-networking site Modlife.
On Thursday night, A&A guitarist David Kennedy was fielding fan questions about that band's new album when, with a few keystrokes, he changed the game entirely, hinting that while Angels might be putting out an album this year, Blink may be, too.
"I'm trying to write a statement about how Angels is all good while Blink is coming back," Kennedy wrote.
When asked by a fan if that meant Angels & Airwaves were going to be scrapped in favor of Blink-182, he replied, "No sir. ... It will be a good creative year and I want to make sure that comes across."
Then, when asked by another fan to clarify the fact that Blink are coming back, Kennedy wrote "Yeah, putting out a record."

Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said the plane carrying six people were leaving South Carolina at midnight last night when air traffic controllers saw sparks, Associated Press has reported.
The plane veered off a runway, through a fence and crashed on a road, she said.
Barker and celebrity US disc jockey DJ AM are in hospital with severe burns, hospital spokeswoman Beth Frits said.
Two other passengers and two crew members are believed to have died in the crash.
Barker and Goldstein had performed together at a concert in Columbia last night, Associated Press has reported.

Wow...
Wow, so almost 2 years since I have posted an update here! Sorry about that guys, I have still been approving members but seeing as blink still aren't back together I didnt see much point. But I have recieved loads of lovely emails saying I should keep this site going (content wise) and I couldn't agree more. My domain expires in a couple of months and I plan to be renewing it. So if you have any ideas on how I can keep this site going, feel free to leave a comment. I do read them!

So, as for news, it appears Tom has spilled beans on the blink breakup yet again.

Tom Delonge Spills on Blink-182 Breakup
Angels and Airwaves released their first DVD, Start the Machine on Tuesday (June 17). No thanks you say? Perhaps, but recently released clips of the movie show front-man Tom Delonge talking candidly about the break-up of his old band, Blink-182, something the members have not discussed in-depth since they went on an “indefinite hiatus” in 2005.
Of the break-up Delonge says, “The way Blink worked, the magic of it, was that there were three totally different people in it. And the way we all came together, we created something really beautiful and great and exciting. Towards the tail-end there, we weren’t 16 years-old anymore. We were approaching 30 and we all had families and different needs and priorities. For me, myself in particular, I was gone from my family for two years straight, so I needed to be home with my daughter. She was approaching two years old and I hadn’t been home for any of her pregnancy or any of her first year and a half, we were touring. So I needed to go home, but the band was doing so well, no one wanted to go home and we all kind of just couldn’t communicate anymore.”
Delonge also cites his Blink side-project Boxcar Racer as a source of tension between himself and Mark Hoppus, saying, “It was one of those weird things where I had to go and try to grow as a musician and he thought it was a thing against him.”
Angels and Airwaves have released two albums since coming together, 2006’s We Don’t Need to Whisper and last year’s I-Empire.

You can view one of Tom's interviews from the AVA dvd here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Il5VXjbQGNg
Pretty much, Tom says that Mark and Travis gave him an ultimatum to choose between the band and putting his family first. He couldn't work that way, so he quit.

Delonge: 'It's the End for Blink-182'
Punk star Tom Delonge has broken fans of Blink-182's hearts by insisting the trio will never reform.
The group has always maintained they're taking a break to work on new projects but singer DeLonge has revealed there are no plans to bring the band back together.
And he states that problems between himself and bandmates Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus on the group's last tour will make a reunion difficult.
DeLonge tells Blender magazine, "We were trying to figure out what everyone needed to keep the band going. The funny thing was, we figured it out on that tour for that very last week."
"It was when we came home that the problems came to a head... I truly feel it's the end."
DeLonge admits there are many things he misses about his former bandmates, but they are outweighed by things he's glad he no longer has to deal with.
He adds, "I guess the thing I miss least is just all the misunderstandings at the end of our career. We weren't 16-year-olds anymore."

I guess this is well and truely the end of Blink. I am torn between just updating the fanlisting, seeing as there wont be any blink news anymore, or keeping everyone informed on what is still going on with Mark, Tom, and Travis. Tell me what you think either in the comments or the guestbook.

Mark Hoppus Joins Fuse
Former Blink-182 co-vocalist/bassist Mark Hoppus has signed on as the "official spokesperson" of Fuse TV's Just for the F of It site.
Hoppus will be blogging and providing a biweekly podcast for the site which provides music, gaming and entertainment content. He had this to say:
"We're both trying to bring new music to a new audience and occasionally introduce something that fans might not have otherwise been exposed to...And we're both under the impression that people give an F about what we're trying to say."
Hoppus and Travis Barker announced their post-Blink-182 project, Plus 44 last year. The band also includes Carol Heller, formerly of Get the Girl and formed when their former band went on an indefinite hiatus. [[full article]]
Tom Delonge Puts His Money Where His Mouth Is
This isn't going to be another one of those Angels & Airwaves stories where Tom DeLonge makes jaw-dropping statements about the greatness of his new band's music without actually providing audible proof of said music's greatness.
No, this one is actually about the music.
That's because finally, after months of calling A&A everything short of "the New Beatles" — and almost a year to the day that his former band, Blink-182, went on "indefinite hiatus" — DeLonge has posted an actual song on the band's Web site, AngelsAndAirwaves.com.
It's called "The Adventure," a tune that DeLonge first told MTV News about back in December. And it's accompanied by an arty, black-and-white video directed by Mark Eaton.[[full article]].

Plus 44, Angels and Airwaves and other shiznit
Nothing new has been happening on the Blink front. Plus 44 Have however released their first song (Ironically on Tom's birthday) titled "No It Isn't" You can hear it at the official site. Also, Tom has indeed been busy. Come January the first single and video of Angels and Airwaves will be released, which is still unknown for now.Is this the new rock and roll revolution we have finally been waiting for? It will remain to be seen.

  • The band has also posted a three-minute retrospective video, titled "Ret-ro-spect" and you can check that out on their official website.
  • For the past 6 months, Tom DeLonge has been in the studio preparing the greatest rock-n-roll revolution for this generation.
Stay tuned to Macbeth Shoes for the latest news regarding Tom DeLonge's new band, Angels and Airwaves.
"I love my fans, and I promise, I will not let you down. The music that we all grew to charish that was made, not only will continue, but it will be much, much better. All I can say is hold on, and prepare..." -- tom delonge
  • Mark Hoppus has just started his own reality wonder via podcast called "Hi My Name is Mark". Every two weeks will let you know what’s on his mind and on his ipod. According to his site the podcast, “will consist of all things rad. bands you haven't heard of, bands you have heard of, and bands i haven't heard of. and maybe, if we are all very lucky, bands i have heard of. i'm going to use this as an excuse to discuss things important (and unimportant) to me and my friends.”. You can access his new site by visiting HiMyNameIsMark.com. Be sure to bookmark it!
  • Travis has formed another band with Texas rap sensation Paul Wall. Just days after the drummer debuted his latest project with Adam 'DJ AM' Goldstein at California's Inland Invasion concert, he has announced another venture, Expensive Tastes, with Wall and fellow Transplants star Rob Aston.
The busy punk star is also expanding his clothing label, Famous Stars and Straps, and adding to his talents by becoming an unlikely hip-hop producer.
He adds, "It (hip-hop) has always been a passion of mine. I've been listening to hip-hop since I was listening to music. It was always crazy to be in punk rock bands and rock bands and always be listening to soul or R+B or hip-hop - stuff I didn't play, so it's exciting to work with artists."

Wow, a lot has been happening in just over a month! =) I will try and update more regularly with news on the guys.

    Where is Tom Delonge?
That is what I have been hearing everywhere. We all know what Mark is doing (producing albums) We all know what Travis is doing (Meet the Barkers, touring with the Transplants) but yes, what about Tom?

As far as I know, Tom has been helping promote his clothing company, Macbeths, new website as they are branching out to be bigger and better (website here), Also, there is rumour circulating that Tom is doing a solo album.
BBC Radio 1 had The Foo Fighters as Jo Wiley's special Live Lounge guests on Tuesday morning. Within the interview, one of the questions involved talking about the Foo Fighters own studio.
    Question [Jo Wiley]:
“Who you got set up to come in and record?”
    Answer [Foo Fighters]:
“Tom from Blink is recording there right now actually, recording the drums for his new record.” (found on blinkcentral)

I think it is becoming less and less likely that blink will reuinite.

    Blink 182 Greatest Hits Coming!
Blink 182 fans won't be giving thanks for a reunion this fall (so far, at least), but the band dug an unreleased song out of the vaults to bolster its greatest-hits set.
The band announced its greatest-hits collection will be in stores Nov. 1. The previously unreleased cut, "Another Girl Another Planet," will anchor the 16-track compilation, which is sure to bring out millions of "what hits?" cracks from the world's punk police.
    The album's track listing is:
    M&Ms
    Dammit
    Josie
    What’s My Age Again
    All The Small Things
    Adam’s Song
    Man Overboard (Live)
    Rock Show
    First Date
    Stay Together For The Kids
    Feelin’ This
    Miss You
    Down

Hmm, what do you think of that guys? At least the band are releasing something, right? *remains hopeful of reunion*

Travis Barker's Plus-44 LP On Schedule, But Not On The Clock
There's some good news and some bad news about Plus-44, the electronic-tinged side project of former Blink-182 compadres Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker.
First, the bad news: Despite Internet rumors, Plus-44's debut album won't be hitting stores in January, according to the band's management. The good news? Well, just like Barker told MTV News back in May, the Plus album will see the light of day next summer which to rabid Blink fans isn't really good news at all. Sorry about that.
"We'll get back to writing Plus-44 songs sometime in October. That's when I have a couple of weeks off before I leave on the Pennywise tour [with another side project, Transplants]," Barker told MTV News. "In the meantime, Mark and Carol [Heller, Plus-44's female vocalist] have been writing, and I'll just kind of join back up with them here or there. And then for sure we'll work hard on it for a couple of months starting in February."
